Scouting is a volunteer-led movement.
In Clydesdale, the District is supported and run by a team of dedicated volunteers who give their time to help local Scout Groups deliver safe, high-quality programmes for young people. The District Leadership Team, Trustee Board, and other specialist volunteers work together to provide support, training, governance, and oversight across the area.
Everyone listed on this page plays a key role in helping Scouting happen locally — whether that’s through providing leadership, managing resources, assessing skills, or holding activity permits. Together, they help ensure young people across Clydesdale can gain skills for life in a safe, supported environment.

Our Group Lead Volunteers (GLVs) are an essential part of the District Team. Each GLV provides leadership and support to the adult volunteers within their Scout Group, helping to ensure that Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, and Explorers (where applicable) deliver safe, engaging, and high-quality programmes. They work in partnership with the District to support and develop local Scouting in their communities.
