Scouting Events and Opportunities

Taking part in events is a key part of the Scouting experience — from local adventure days to international camps, they help young people grow in confidence, develop new skills, and build lasting friendships.

This page brings together key opportunities across the District, Scotland, and beyond.

Clydesdale District Events

We’re working to grow the number and quality of events offered at District level to better support our Groups and volunteers. Events will be added here as they are confirmed — including District-run camps, skills days, training opportunities, and celebration events.

This work is being led by Programme Lead, Kat McLelland and the District Programme Team, with a focus on creating more consistent, high-quality experiences across Clydesdale. The goal is to strengthen local Scouting by offering events that bring people together, support section programmes, and give young people new opportunities to learn and grow.

National and International Opportunities

Many of our young people and volunteers take part in larger events organised at Scottish, UK, or global level. These offer the chance to meet Scouts from across the country — and the world — while taking on new challenges and experiences.

Details for these are shared with eligible members as they become available.
